ethicalonestopshop.com was launched in August 2005 by Emma Smith, as a result of ethical concerns regarding trade and consumerism and an increasing awareness of humanity’s impact on the planet and its inhabitants. The aim was to make it as easy as possible for people to shop ethically. The first site was a retail site from which Emma sold ethically sourced products directly to customers.
Two years later, and now in partnership with fellow director Collette Bentley, we have taken a giant leap forward in order to be what it says on the tin …. an Ethical One Stop Shop!
We have re-launched the site as an online ethical shopping centre featuring a large number of retailers and covering a wide range of departments and products.
Many people want to make changes in the way in which they shop but we live in a hectic society. The majority of us know what the problems are but are busy juggling careers, family, friends and other commitments and so cannot see how to find the time to become conscious consumers.
Our aim is to make it as easy as possible for you the customer to find ethical companies and products… and for them to find you.
By putting a large number of retailers under one roof we are creating a virtual ethical shopping centre.
We’ve done all the research for you and provide a wide range of ethical products in one shop. Shopping ethically is now easier … and hassle-free!
Each Merchant Partner featured on ethicalonestopshop.com has undergone an application and approval process. They have signed a contract agreeing to comply with our Ethical Policy in regard to their chosen fields and product listings.
Our Merchant Partners and products are considered and selected based on the difference they make to us, and our world.
The number of Merchant Partners and products featured on the site will be regularly increasing and diversifying so please keep checking in… and let us know if you are looking for an ethical alternative to something as it’s our ultimate aim is to find an ethical alternative for everything!
